Breast Cancer Care in Special Populations

Event Description

Program Goal: This course is designed to educate course participants on the management of patients with breast cancer in the extremes of age. Upon completion of this course, enrollees will be able to discuss modern management strategies for breast cancer in these special populations. Topics covered will include imaging, diagnostic workup including genetic testing, surgery, adjuvant medical and radiation therapies, and survivorship. Participants will be able to describe how these management guidelines can be applied to young and elderly patients in their practice.

Who Should Attend: Primary care physicians, OB/GYNs, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, and other health care professionals interested in breast care.
