Congratulations to Desirae Waring, who recently completed the University of Pittsburgh Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program (DICP). The DICP is designed to reinforce the University’s core values of diversity and inclusion by providing University administrators with tools and experiences to enhance their knowledge and skills on behalf of their success and that of their organization. The program builds communication, project management, financial management, and problem-solving skills to improve effectiveness; teaches the importance of diversity and inclusion at the University; and enhances their knowledge of technology management in an administrative role. Participants gain an increased awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion to an environment of academic and workplace success, as well as tools and strategies for fostering inclusion.
