Research, Clinical, and/or Academic Interests

  • Allorecognition in the innate immune system. Both invertebrate and vertebrate (mouse) models of transplantation are employed to investigate the earliest innate signals that trigger rejection.
  • The biology of memory T cells in organ transplantation. We are currently investigating how memory T cells migrate to a transplanted organ and what is required for their activation and maintenance.
  • Characterization of monocyte and T cell subsets in healthy human subjects and renal transplant recipients.
