The Brinker Award for Scientific Distinction is Susan G. Komen’s marquee scientific award. The event’s goal is to bring people together to pedal, partner, and participate in raising vital funds to support cancer research and someday soon "crush" cancer.

Congratulations to surgical oncology fellow Samer T. Tohme, MD, who was a winner of the 3rd Community Liver Alliance Research Grant in the amount of $25,000 for his research project “Mechanisms of Metastatic Progression after Liver Ischemia-Reperfusion.” The Community Liver Alliance presented a check to Dr. Tohme at their Board of Directors meeting on December 17, 2019.
