Matrix Bound Nanovesicles: The Next Generation of ECM-based Biomaterials?

Dr. Hussey's research interests include determination of an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of matrix-induced constructive remodeling and immune modulation, with the broad goal of identifying and characterizing molecular targets to bias these responses. His talk will highlight the recent discovery of matrix bound nanovesicles, and how utilization of this ECM-based nanotherapy will allow us to target therapeutic applications previously untenable for planar ECM bioscaffolds.
