Presenter: Jie Fan, MD, PhD
Neutrophil reverse migration (PMN rM) is a recently identified phenomenon in which PMNs migrate away from the inflammatory site back into the vasculature following the initial PMN infiltration. The role of PMN rM in inflammation is controversial in the literature, which highlights the importance of gaining more in-depth insight into this cellular behavior and consequently identifying novel means of modulating inflammation. The mechanism of PMN rM is largely unclear. Dr. Fan's laboratory investigated and identified a new mechanism that regulates PMN rM and this will be the focus of discussion in this seminar.
