Date

August 24, 2021 - 9:00am

Event Description

"P2Y Receptor in Arteriogenesis"

This project aims to understand nucleotide receptors and their role in arteriogenesis.

Presenter: Dr. Rohan Kulkarni (advisors: Drs. Ryan McEnaney & Edith Tzeng)

Title: "Inflammasome-Mediated Effects of SARS-related proteins on Muscle Satellite Cells in Peripheral Arterial Disease"

This project aims to evaluate whether peripheral arterial disease (PAD) potentiates the interaction and effects of SARS-related proteins in muscle satellite cells (MuSCs) as well as the effects of these viral peptides on inflammasome function for MuSCs in PAD patients.

Presenter: Dr. Bowen Xie (advisor: Dr. Ulka Sachdev)
