The UPMC 2018 Multidisciplinary Thyroid Cancer Symposium: Clinical Management of Thyroid Nodules and Cancer in the Era of Molecular Testing was held on May 12. The event featured a range of clinically-based discussions on thyroid cancer topics presented by UPMC and University of Pittsburgh faculty from the departments of pathology, endocrinology, surgery, otolaryngology, radiology, and ophthalmology. Kelly L. McCoy, MD, FACS was the Course Director and Sally E. Carty, MD, FACS and Linwah Yip, MD were among the featured speakers. The symposium attracted 86 attendees, who were offered continuing education credits for their participation.
