Department Physicians Celebrate UPMC Trauma and Burn Care

The UPMC Trauma Care System Life Savers Celebration was held at the UPMC Club at Heinz Field on September 19, 2017. The event celebrated 50 years of burn care at the UPMC Mercy Burn Center and 30 years of trauma care in the UPMC hospital system. Among those who spoke at the gala were department faculty members Louis H. Alarcon, MD, FACS, FCCM; Alain C. Corcos, MD, FACS; Barbara A. Gaines, MD; Harry W. Sell Jr., MD, FACS; and Andrew B. Peitzman MD, who also presented the keynote address. Raquel M. Forsythe, MD; Matthew D. Neal, MD; and Richard L. Simmons, MD were also among the participants.
