Congratulations to Amer Zureikat, MD, FACS who has been appointed as the Director, Robotic Surgery, UPMC. With robotic surgery programs established at 20 UPMC hospitals, Dr. Zureikat will serve as the clinical leader working with the surgical service line to help optimize these programs to achieve their full potential. An established leader in surgical oncology, Dr. Zureikat has earned significant recognition in performing state-of-the-art robotic surgery and mentoring and training surgical specialists from across the globe in robotic surgery techniques. His stellar reputation as a surgeon and as an educator make him uniquely qualified to lead these efforts at UPMC.
