Congratulations to our Chair Timothy R. Billiar, MD, who has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of UPMC. In these new leadership roles, Dr. Billiar will focus on clinical- and research-related advancements at UPMC, UPMC Enterprises, and the Immune Transplant and Therapy Center, working collaboratively with Jeanne Cunicelli, UPMC Executive Vice President and President of UPMC Enterprises. He will also serve as the primary liaison to the University of Pittsburgh and Anantha Shekhar, MD, PhD, Senior Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences.
