New NIH Research Funding for Fall 2018

Congratulations to our following faculty members who received new research awards from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) this fall:

• George K. Gittes, MD will receive funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases for the project “Alpha cells conversion to beta cells in non-human primates.”
• Edith Tzeng, MD received funding for her project “Engineering Biologic Topography into Vascular Grafts” from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
