Selected Research Topics in Pediatric Trauma

Dr. Lucisano will update us on the progress of her various projects, including the use of TEG to characterize trauma-induced coagulopathy in patients with abusive and severe head trauma, the use of decision analysis to establish a risk threshold for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis in pediatric trauma, pediatric firearm-related injuries in our region, and a case control analysis demonstrating the relationship between spine injury and abusive head trauma.
