Cost-effectiveness of Metabolic Surgery for Type 2 Diabetes, an Economic Analysis of the ARMMS-T2D Consortium

Presenter: Dr. Katherine Hrebinko (advisor: Drs. Courcoulas and Myers)

Katherine will discuss early stage work and future plans for a cost-effectiveness analysis of metabolic surgery versus optimal medical/lifestyle therapy based on data from the Alliance of Randomized Trials of Medicine vs. Metabolic Surgery for Type II Diabetes (ARMMS-T2D), for which Dr. Courcoulas is one of the lead investigators. She will next present the results of a cost-effectiveness analysis of axillary observation versus sentinel lymph node biopsy in women >  70 with early-stage, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer that she completed under the direction of Drs. Myers, Diego, Downs-Canner, and Bryce.
