Congratulations to Jason Sperry, MD, MPH, who has been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI).
The ASCI, one of the oldest and most esteemed nonprofit medical honor societies in the US, is a vital organization focused on the special role that physician-scientists play in clinical care, research, and medical education, as well as their leadership roles in academic medicine and the life-sciences. The organization comprises over 3,000 physician-scientists from various medical specialties.
Annually, the ASCI Council considers nominations of several hundred physician-scientists and recommends a maximum of only 100 candidates for election based on their outstanding scholarly achievements. Election to the ASCI is a milestone in the physician-scientist career path, and the ASCI holds its members to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, collegiality, and mutual respect.
Congratulations to Dr. Sperry for this well-deserved landmark accomplishment. He and other new members will be officially inducted to the ASCI membership at the AAP/ASCI/APSA Joint Meeting on April 8–10, 2022.
