Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh
I chose the University of Pittsburgh for its exceptional operative training, strong resident autonomy, and world-class research opportunities. The supportive, family-friendly culture creates an environment where residents are challenged while feeling genuinely supported. Combined with Pittsburgh’s welcoming community and abundance of restaurants, parks, and outdoor activities it has been a great place to train and live.
Non-Academic Accomplishments
Outside of surgery, I enjoy distance running, traveling, and spending time with family/friends. I recently began training for longer road races and enjoy exploring new cities and national parks. I also like discovering new restaurants, reading for pleasure, and cooking.
