Research, Clinical, and/or Academic Interests

My focus is on improving outcomes among patients with peripheral artery disease and syndromes which are frequently concurrent (e.g., frailty and sepsis). Grounded in a portfolio that spans clinical, health services, and translational research, my work centers on optimizing medical therapies—particularly antithrombotic strategies—for patients with PAD. I investigate real-world prescribing patterns and comparative effectiveness of antithrombotic regimens following endovascular and surgical revascularization, leveraging institutional as well as national HCUP, ACS, and VA datasets. Using these quasi-experimental methodologies, I work to generate data-driven hypotheses for testing in pragmatic trial platforms and implementation science frameworks. In parallel, I examine how conditions such as frailty, sepsis, social determinates of health, and multimorbidity modify response to therapies and shape patient centered outcomes.
