Dr. Leeper is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, and an attending surgeon in the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds secondary appointments in the Departments of Critical Care Medicine, Division of Pediatric Surgery at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Dr. Leeper runs a clinical and translational research program focused on pediatric trauma, transfusion practice and trauma-induced coagulopathy following injury. She is the principal investigator of the Massive Transfusion in Children (MATIC-2) platform randomized clinical trial (https://www.matic2.org).
