Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh

I chose Pitt surgery because I wanted to be somewhere that is close to home, has strong fellowship matches, had people that I could see myself working and being friends with, and has a strong emphasis on academic surgery. Also, out of all the program directors I met, Dr. Lee's commitment to the program and the residency really stood out to me.

Non-Academic Accomplishments

I don't have too many exciting hobbies. I like to spend time with family, explore Pittsburgh with new friends, visit old friends when I can, and have recently gotten into cooking/baking which I love doing on my day off and bringing in baked goods for my team the next day.
