Anna Apffel was seeking a program that excelled in clinical training, research, and culture. The program handles complex cases with a high patient volume across all divisions, has a productive and intentional research program, and is centered around a community of incredibly kind, teaching-focused, and dedicated individuals, from residents to support staff to faculty.
She served as the captain of the softball team at Amherst College, leading us to a 5th-place finish in the D3 Women's College World Series. Although she no longer plays softball, her passion for sports remains strong. She can often be found attending live sports events or watching games on TV with friends. In her free time, she is an aspiring chef and foodie, always on the lookout for the next great dish or enjoying cooking for a group.
