Dr. Brown was an emergency medical services provider for eight years, working for Rural/Metro Medical Services in Buffalo, NY, and served as the Director of Operations for the University of Rochester Medical Emergency Response Team in Rochester, NY.

Research, Clinical, and/or Academic Interests

Dr. Brown is the PI of the NIH and DoD funded Prehospital Resource Organization and Delivery of Care in Trauma Systems (PRODCTS) laboratory, which focuses on air medical transport, field triage, prehospital resuscitation, and trauma system geospatial optimization. He obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Research, developing expertise in large database management, and advanced techniques for analysis of observational data. He is currently completing his thesis work on prehospital air medical triage for his PhD in Clinical and Translational Science. He also serves as the Chair of the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation Research Committee and is a statistical editor at JAMA Surgery.
