Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh: UPMC was one of my last interviews of the season. It was by far my favorite interview, and I left it with a gut feeling that I had found the right place for my training. Everyone I interacted with, from faculty to residents, was hardworking and intelligent but also incredibly kind. I felt as though any specialty or career path I might want to pursue was a possibility at UPMC, from strong clinical training to research experience and dual degrees to excellent fellowship matches across all specialties. Pittsburgh, outside of the program itself, is a really cool city with a lot of great history. There is always something fun to do at any time, and it has the bonus of having a real city feel without most of the traffic.

Non-Academic Accomplishments: In my spare time I love to read, cook, watch movies and TV, and explore the city with my coresidents.
