Why I Chose the University of Pittsburgh

During my fourth-year medical school rotation at UPMC, I experienced firsthand the program's collaborative culture, exceptional clinical training, and commitment to academic surgery. The opportunity to care for complex surgical patients while working alongside faculty who are leaders in their fields, combined with a supportive environment for resident education and research, inspired me to pursue residency at Pittsburgh. Beyond training, Pittsburgh's vibrant arts scene and easy access to outdoor recreation make it an especially enjoyable place to live.

Non-Academic Accomplishments

I enjoy traveling in search of breathtaking mountain scenery, tennis, cooking traditional Central Asian cuisine, and being a cat mom.
