UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, in partnership with P3R, announced their inaugural “Rush to Crush Cancer,” a new fundraising biking event to accelerate the pace of discovery and innovation in cancer research. The event’s goal is to bring people together to pedal, partner, and participate in raising vital funds to support cancer research and someday soon "crush" cancer.
Rush to Crush Cancer, which is planned for spring 2023, will be broken into three routes throughout Pittsburgh and surrounding communities that range from 15 to 60 miles, accommodating riders of all levels. The event will also include a walk to honor those impacted by cancer and to celebrate survivors. Every dollar raised by the rides will directly further UPMC Hillman Cancer Center's research mission.
Individuals can participate by riding, donating to support riders, or volunteering. Visit the Rush to Crush Cancer website and follow @rushtocrushcancer on Instagram and Facebook, or @R2C_Cancer on Twitter for more information and updates.
