NHLBI Awards New Grant to Dr. Ulka Sachdev
Congratulations to Vascular Surgery T32 Research Resident Catherine Go, MD, who won "Best Presentation of the Year" at the Bridgeside Research Forum for her presentation “The RESCUE Stent for NonCompressible Traumatic Hemorrhage” on September 22, 2017.
The article “NIH grant for Pitt/UPMC is aimed at improving viability of organs for transplant” published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on November 21, 2017, spotlights research by Bryan W. Tillman, MD, PhD to develop a stent to improve blood flow to abdominal organs and preserve their viability for transplantation.
Congratulations to team members Dr. Ulka Sachdev, Shiyi Shen, Yi Zhu, and Michele Morris, whose project received a $25,000 award in the 2017 Pitt Innovation Challenge (PInCh) competition, where teams compete by pitching innovative solutions to challenging health problems.
